New Delhi, Aug. 14 -- CPI(M) general secretary M A Baby on Friday questioned the reported decision of Delhi University to remove a paper on the Delhi Sultanate from its postgraduate history curriculum, arguing that the move risks leaving students with an incomplete understanding of Delhi's historical evolution.
In a post on social media platform X, Baby said the decision was particularly ironic given that the university is situated in Delhi, which served as the seat of the Delhi Sultanate for several centuries.
"Delhi University dropping the Delhi Sultanate paper from its postgraduate history curriculum while literally being seated in Delhi - the very seat of that Sultanate - is irony at its peak!" Baby said.
