Bhubaneswar, May 11 -- Lupus, a complex autoimmune disease that primarily affects women between the ages of 20 and 50, can be effectively managed with timely diagnosis and proper treatment, enabling most patients to lead normal lives, Prof. (Dr.) Pradipta Sekhar Patro, Head of the Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology at the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and SUM Hospital, said.
