Lucknow, May 11 -- Uttar Pradesh has set a new benchmark across the country in rooftop solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
The inclusion of two districts from Uttar Pradesh among the top 10 districts in the country, and five districts among the top 50, reflects that the state is playing a leading role with its presence among the fastest-growing rooftop solar markets in India.
Notably, Lucknow has secured the top position in the country, while Varanasi has reached the tenth spot in rooftop solar installations.
At present, more than 5.17 lakh rooftop solar plants have been installed in Uttar Pradesh.
