Lucknow, Feb. 13 -- Indian Railways' Lucknow Division has developed an in-house web application, free of cost, to digitalise the train position display system at Gorakhpur Junction.
The initiative replaces the manually updated whiteboard at the enquiry counter with a real-time digital interface, ensuring accurate and transparent dissemination of train information to passengers.
The webpage provides live status of all trains scheduled to depart from Gorakhpur within the next four hours, with direction-wise segregation to facilitate ease of understanding, particularly for daily commuters and unreserved passengers.
Diverted, regulated, and cancelled trains are prominently highlighted to prevent confusion and last-minute inconvenience.
