Pune, March 6 -- Conceived as a first-of-its-kind initiative in the field of higher education in India, the Life Transformation Centre (LTC), has been established at Boribel in Daund taluka of Pune district.

An initiative of the MIT World Peace University here, the centre is based on the concept of connecting the human spirit with nature and soil, aiming to foster holistic development among students as envisioned by late Urmila V. Karad, wife of the varsity's founder-president Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the centre on March 12, Dr. Rahul Karad, educationist and managing trustee of the MIT group of institutions, announced at a press conference here on Friday.
