Lucknow, March 12 -- Reports of a shortage of domestic LPG cylinders in Uttar Pradesh are creating difficulties for consumers, with many people waiting 4-5 days after booking to receive their cylinders.

Long queues have been seen outside gas agencies in several cities, while cases of black marketing have also surfaced.

In Gorakhpur, the administration has taken action against two gas agencies accused of black marketing LPG cylinders. A joint team of the Supply Department and the police conducted an investigation and sealed the warehouses of both agencies.
