New Delhi, Feb. 22 -- An LPG cylinder exploded as fire and police personnel were attempting to extinguish a house fire in northwest Delhi's Majlis Park, injuring 13 people, officials said on Sunday.
According to the police, the explosion injured six police officers and firefighters who had been deployed after a blaze broke out at the house around 9:00 AM.
"Several residents inside the building and people in the surrounding areas were also hurt in the incident," an officer said.
Police and fire brigade teams rushed to the crime scene and immediately began firefighting and rescue operations.
