Chennai, Feb. 24 -- The Low Pressure Area over Bay of Bengal is expected to weaken further in the next 24 hrs, even as Met office has forecast light rains in isolated places of Tamil Nadu till March oneIn its latest update on Tuesday, it said rainfall occurred at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, while very light rain occurred over Karaikal area and dry weather prevailed over Puducherry.
The Western Ghat areas of Cincona (Coimbatore district), Upasi TRF AWS (Coimbatore district) recd 3 cms of rain each during the last 24 hrs ending at 0830 hrs this morning, while Valparai PTO (Coimbatore) received 2 cms of rain.
There was no large change in minimum temperature over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area during the past 24 hours.
