Amaravati, Oct. 25 -- The low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal is expected to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the southeast and adjoining central Bay of Bengal by tomorrow, further strengthening into a deep depression by October 26 and a cyclonic storm over the southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal by October 27 morning, the Meteorological Centre said in its latest bulletin.
It had moved slightly west-northwestwards in the past three hours and lay over the same region at 0830 hours on Friday, the Met Centre said.
In its daily weather report, the Met office said the northeast monsoon has been vigorous over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema.
