Chennai, May 11 -- A Low Pressure area has formed over southwest Bay of Bengal off North Sri Lanka coast, on Monday morning and it was expected become more marked in the next 48 hrs, which will lead to continuance of wet spells in some districts of Tamil Nadu, especially in southern and cauvery delta region, for the next couple of days.
Met office in a update said rainfall occurred at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, very light rainfall occurred over Puducherry and dry weather prevailed over Karaikal area.
Maximum temperatures fell by 4-6 Deg C at isolated places, by 2-4 Deg C at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area and no large change over rest of Tamil Nadu during the past 24 hours.
