Majid JahangirSrinagar, July 4 -- What initially appeared to be a case of illegal border crossing from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) into India has unfolded into an unusual story of love that crossed one of the world's most heavily guarded frontiers.
On Saturday afternoon it ended in an emotional separation.
As 22-year-old Zeeshan Mir, a resident of Pankedi village Forward Kahuta in PoK, was repatriated to the other side through the Kaman Crossing in Uri after completing all legal and administrative formalities, officials said.
Zeeshan was arrested on May 31 after he entered Indian territory illegally. He was booked under the relevant provisions of the E&IMCO Act, the Immigration Act and the Foreigners Act.
