Mathura, Aug. 29 -- The 5,253rd birth anniversary of Lord Krishna will be celebrated with grandeur and religious fervour in Mathura, the sacred birthplace of Lord Krishna, on September 4, 2026, on the occasion of Bhadrapada Krishna Ashtami, in accordance with traditional rituals and classical practices.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan secretary Kapil Sharma and member Gopeshwarnath Chaturvedi said that devotees would this year take a solemn pledge to protect cows and the nation as part of the Janmashtami celebrations.
