Thane, Aug. 26 -- Just hours before the arrival of Lord Ganesha, panic gripped devotees and Ganesh Mandals in Dombivli after a sculptor suddenly went missing, leaving several idols incomplete.
The incident occurred at Anandi Kala Kendra, a popular Ganesh idol workshop on Mahatma Phule Road, where sculptor Prafull Tambade reportedly disappeared, locking his house and switching off his phone.
Customers who had booked idols in advance expressed anger and disappointment, while Ganesh Mandals were left in shock to find large idols unfinished, with coloring and detailing work still pending.
As the news spread, anxious buyers rushed to the workshop, scrambling to collect whatever idols were available.
