Pune, March 4 -- Mayor Manjusha Nagpure on Wednesday stressed the need to formulate a long-term rehabilitation and support plan for mentally challenged individuals above the age of 45.

She was speaking at an event where Creative Foundation extended support to the Dilasa Workshop run by Sevasadan Institution.

The Dilasa Workshop trains mentally challenged adults between 18 and 45 years of age and helps them become self-reliant by selling handmade products and food items prepared by them. Praising the initiative, the Mayor said it was commendable that such efforts promote dignity and self-sufficiency.
