New Delhi, Sept. 7 -- Karan Rajendra Darda of Lokmat Media was elected President of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) on Monday following the Society's Annual General Meeting.
Tanmay Maheshwari of Amar Ujala was elected Deputy President, Harsha Mathew of Malayala Manorama Vice-President, and Anant Nath of Delhi Press Honorary Treasurer.
Mr Darda succeeded Vivek Gupta of Sanmarg as President. During his presidency, Mr Gupta shepherded key initiatives, including engagements with policymakers and a major effort to reinforce the credibility of the print medium with readers and advertisers.
