Kochi, Aug. 26 -- The union Ministry of Minority Affairs today launched the 5th edition of Lok Samvardhan Parv here, marking the first time the flagship initiative is being held in Kerala.
The festival, being held from August 26 to September 4, is designed to provide artisans, craftspersons, weavers, culinary experts and entrepreneurs from minority communities with market linkages and national exposure.
It aims to strengthen economic empowerment while celebrating India's cultural diversity. Over 100 artisans and 15 culinary experts from across the country are participating in the Kochi edition.
Traditional crafts on display include Zari and Chikankari of Uttar Pradesh, Phulkari embroidery of Punjab, Madhubani paintings of Bihar, Blue Pot...
