Ranchi, May 9 -- Jharkhand High Court judge and Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority executive chairman Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad on Saturday said advocates and mediators had an important role in settlement of pending cases.
He said this while virtually inaugurating the second National Lok Adalat of the year from Ranchi judicial division.
Justice Prasad said Lok Adalat provided an accessible and free platform for speedy justice, reduced pendency in courts and saved time and money for litigants. He also stressed the role of para legal volunteers in spreading legal awareness in villages, towns and remote areas.
