Jammu, Aug. 19 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Inspector General Udhampur-Reasi, Shiv Kumar Sharma on Wednesday reiterated that close coordination with the local community remains vital for ensuring a safe and secure environment during the Shri Buddha Amarnath yatra.
The DIG conducted a comprehensive review of security arrangements in district Reasi in view of the yatra.
During the visit, the DIG inspected the security arrangements at Sungal Tunnel, Kalidhar, Bambla and Sudeen areas and assessed the overall security preparedness and deployment in these strategically important locations.
