Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 15 -- The State Election Commission has issued comprehensive guidelines to ensure that the upcoming local body elections in Kerala are conducted in full compliance with the Green Protocol.
The measures will be enforced under the supervision of the Election Commission, the Local Self-Government Department, and the Suchitwa Mission.
The Executive Director of the Suchitwa Mission has been designated as the nodal officer for overseeing Green Protocol implementation.
As part of the guidelines, the use of plastic, PVC, flex boards, thermocol cups, plastic bottles, and disposable plastic parcels has been completely prohibited during the election period.
