Chandrapur, Sept. 2 -- : At least 30 students of a government-run Ashram school in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district fell ill after allegedly consuming food in which a lizard was found, triggering concern among parents and local authorities.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday at Ambru Naik secondary Ashram school in Nagrala village of Jiwati taluka after students were served a meal at the government residential school. Soon after eating, several students complained of nausea, vomiting and stomach discomfort.
The affected students were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they were provided medical treatment.
School authorities and health officials reached the spot after being informed of the incident.
