Nagpur, Nov. 4 -- The Higher and Technical Education Department has sanctioned an annual grant of Rs 7 crore for the Laxminarayan Innovative Technology University (LITU), Nagpur. The funds will be released in four instalments each year, beginning from the academic session 2025-2026 and continuing until 2029-2030.
This decision was approved during the Cabinet meeting of the Maharashtra Government held today. Founded in 1942 through the generous contribution of industrialist and philanthropist Raobahadur D. Laxminarayan, the institute stands among the most prestigious educational establishments globally.
