Hyderabad, Oct. 10 -- The Telangana government is emphasising preventive healthcare and lifestyle medicine to address rising cases of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), stress and burnout, Christina Z. Chongthu, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, said on Saturday.

Addressing the seventh edition of the International Conference on Lifestyle Medicine (ISLMCON 2026), organised by the Indian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ISLM) here, she said increasing workplace pressures, changing family structures and caregiving responsibilities were contributing to stress and burnout.

The conference was held under the theme "From Burnout to Balance: Health through Lifestyle Medicine".
