Srinagar, July 19 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today said Jammu and Kashmir's identity has long been rooted in harmony and brotherhood, asserting that social and religious unity remains the cornerstone of a strong society, a strong Jammu and Kashmir, and a developed India.

Addressing an "Interfaith Dialogue for Harmony" in Baramulla, Sinha said the union Territory embodies the legacy of saints, Sufis and rishis who taught generations the values of love, compassion and coexistence.

The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted that this land of Jammu Kashmir embodies harmony and brotherhood.
