Beirut, July 22 -- Hezbollah has rejected the Lebanese government's agreement with Israel and condemned Beirut's decision to hold direct talks with Jerusalem, although the Iran-backed group has so far refrained from any attempts to derail the arrangement through military action.
The Islamist militia maintains that diplomatic efforts alone will not suffice in removing Israeli forces from southern Lebanon, arguing that Beirut lacks the negotiating leverage enjoyed by Iran.
