Kolhapur, Aug. 31 -- Local Crime Branch (LCB) Sindhudurg district seized 2.373 kg of ambergris (whale vomit) valued at Rs 2.37 crore, near Pandur Titha on the Pandur-Kadawal road in Kudal tehsil of Sindhudurg district on the Mumbai-Goa highway on August 30.
According to the LCB police, acting on a tip-off, the KCB police laid a trap on the Pandur-Kadawal Road at Pandur Thitha and stopped a car and a motorcycle on suspicion. After conducting a search, the police team recovered 2.373 kg of ambergris worth Rs 2.37 crore and seized a motorcycle and a car, with a total value of Rs 2.46 crore.
