Ch. Sambhajinagar, Aug. 27 -- The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division has recorded uneven monsoon performance from June to July, receiving 89 percent of its normal rainfall with 285.0 mm against the expected 320.2 mm.

Among the districts in the division, Jalna emerged as the best performer, recording 116.3 percent of normal rainfall (347.6 mm against 299.0 mm normal), followed by Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district at 104.8 percent (290.7 mm against 277.4 mm normal).

However, six other districts in the division have recorded rainfall deficit, with Latur facing the highest shortfall at 66.1 per cent (213.2 mm against 322.3 mm normal).
