Latur (Maharashtra), Dec. 26 -- A 20-year-old youth from Aurad-Shahajani in Nilanga taluka, Latur district, died by suicide after allegedly facing continuous harassment from an Assistant Police Inspector.
The deceased, identified as Imran Belure, recorded a video before taking his life, alleging that Assistant Police Inspector Vitthal Durpade and his driver Tanaji Tele were repeatedly troubling his mother by calling her late at night, an official said on Friday.
According to the viral video, Imran stated that he was unable to bear the harassment and was ending his life due to mental distress caused by the officer.
