Kolkata, Aug. 27 -- Larsen & Toubro is looking to expand its footprint in West Bengal, with Chairman and Managing Director S. N. Subrahmanyan seeking another 10 acres of land in Kolkata, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said on Thursday.
Adhikari said that "the West Bengal government is ready and has asked HIDCO (Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation) to take appropriate action."The disclosure came at the inauguration of L&T's Ananda Niketan Global Delivery and AI Competency Centre at the Bengal Silicon Valley Tech Hub in New Town. Adhikari said the proposed expansion reflected growing investor confidence in West Bengal and assured L&T of the state government's support.
