Gangtok, Sept. 19 -- Heavy rain over the past two days triggered landslides and road disruptions across Sikkim, Nepal and Bhutan, affecting several key routes and disrupting traffic.

In Sikkim, the National Highway 10, the lifeline connecting the state with Siliguri, was blocked at 20th Mile near Bardang following a massive landslide late Thursday night.

Sikkim Police issued road-condition updates for all five districts - Gangtok, Pakyong, Mangan, Namchi, Gyalshing and Soreng - reporting landslides, mudslides and boulder falls. Several roads have been closed, while traffic on some stretches is being regulated through diversions or single-lane movement.
