Lawngtlai (Mizoram), Nov. 2 -- Landowners affected by the construction of the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project (KMMTTP) have withdrawn their proposed road blockade scheduled for November 3 following discussions with Lawngtlai Deputy Commissioner Donny Lalruatsanga on Monday.
The meeting, held at the Deputy Commissioner's office chamber, was attended by leaders of the Young Lai Association (CYLA) and the Lawngtlai District Land Owners' Association, representing landowners along the KMMTTP road.
Welcoming the decision to withdraw the blockade, the Deputy Commissioner thanked the landowners for reconsidering their proposed agitation following his appeal.
