Pankaj JainNew Delhi, Feb. 15 -- Delhi government has launched a major initiative to assign a 14-digit Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) to every parcel of land in the national capital, a move aimed at modernising land records and reducing disputes.

The initiative, often referred to as 'Bhu Aadhaar', seeks to provide each land parcel with a unique digital identity, similar in concept to Aadhaar for individuals.

Under the plan, every property will be geo-referenced and linked to a 14-digit identification number to ensure transparency and accuracy in ownership records.
