Hyderabad, March 8 -- Telangana Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Sunday announced that land acquisition for irrigation projects in the joint Mahabubnagar district will be completed by June 2 with an allocation of Rs 5,000 crore.

The Minister made the announcement while reviewing the progress of irrigation projects in the joint Mahabubnagar district at a meeting held at the Jalsauda office.

He said the government under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is committed to effectively utilising Krishna river waters and ensuring irrigation benefits for the joint Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda districts.
