Lucknow, Oct. 11 -- Former Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation and MLC Dr Lalji Prasad Nirmal launched a sharp attack onSamajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, calling his tenure (2012-2017) a symbol ofDalit humiliation, corruption, and nepotism.
Dr. Nirmal stated that while the country was honouring institutions named after late Kanshiram, Akhilesh Yadav attempted to erase his legacy.
The Urdu-Arabi-Farsi University in Lucknow, originally named after Kanshiram, had its name removed, and other government schemes in his name were also changes, giving a severe blow tothe dignity of the Dalit community.
