Mumbai, Sept. 25 -- Lakhs of devotees gathered along the designated immersion routes on Friday across Maharashtra to witness the grand processions organised by various Ganesh mandals, as every city in the state bid farewell to Lord Ganesha on Anant Chaturdashi.
Preparations for the immersion of idols installed by Ganesh mandals as well as those worshipped in households have been underway since morning.
After completing the immersion of household idols, a large number of devotees turned towards the main immersion route to witness the processions and various presentations organised by Ganesh mandals.
