Shimla, Sept. 4 -- In a landmark move, the Lahaul-Spiti district administration has stepped in to rescue farmers facing severe losses due to disrupted road connectivity following heavy rains, flash floods, and fresh snowfall in the high reaches of the valley. Deputy Commissioner and District Disaster Management Authority Chairperson, Kiran Badana, announced that exotic vegetables cultivated in the tribal district will now be transported through cargo flights to major markets, including Delhi.
