Srinagar, Aug. 8 -- Ladakh's tourism sector has recorded a sharp upswing, with tourist arrivals reaching 3.30 lakh in the first seven months of 2026, nearly matching the total footfall registered during the entire 2025, driven by a strong surge in domestic and foreign visitors during June and July.
The union Territory recorded more than one lakh tourist arrivals in each of the two peak months, with June and July together accounting for over 2.12 lakh visitors, or nearly 65 per cent of the total footfall so far this year.
