Srinagar, June 23 -- A complete shutdown was observed across Leh and Kargil districts on Tuesday in response to a call given by Buddhist organisations protesting against the proposed new liquor policy and several other issues concerning Ladakh.
Shops, business establishments, and commercial activities remained closed in both districts, while residents in Leh participated in a peaceful protest. Authorities said the situation remained peaceful and no untoward incident was reported during the bandh.
