Srinagar, March 24 -- Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Vinai Kumar Saxena on Tuesday visited Sindhu Ghat to review preparations for the upcoming Sindhu Mahakumbh, stressing the need to provide a world-class experience to tourists and pilgrims expected to visit Ladakh for the event.
The first Sindhu Mahakumbh 2026 is scheduled to be held on June 23-24 at the revered Sindhu Ghat.
A spokesman of the union Territory of Ladakh said Lieutenant Governor Saxena today visited Sindhu Ghat and reviewed the ongoing preparations at the site.
During the inspection, the Lieutenant Governor suggested aesthetic improvements, including placing large decorative pots with local flowers along the approach routes to enhance the visual appeal of the ghat.
