Bengaluru, Aug. 25 -- A fresh political battle has erupted between union Minister HD Kumaraswamy and Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar over the controversial NICE project, with Kumaraswamy firing a political salvo by alleging that the Chief Minister was working to take over the NICE company through a new agreement.

Kumaraswamy accused Shivakumar of holding discussions with the company and claimed that "all arrangements" had already been made for the takeover. He questioned the nature of the alleged understanding between the Chief Minister and NICE and warned that he would release documents backing his allegations next week.
