Thiruvananthapuram, July 10 -- Kudumbashree's 'Jeevan Deepam Oruma' insurance scheme has provided insurance coverage to 1.67 million (16.7 lakh) Neighbourhood Group (NHG) members across Kerala under a joint initiative of Kudumbashree, the Kerala State Insurance Department and the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
Designed as a social security initiative for Kudumbashree members, the scheme offers insurance protection at an annual premium of Rs 200.
The current policy is valid till March 31, 2027. The record enrolment was achieved through a statewide enrolment campaign conducted by Kudumbashree earlier this year.
