Thiruvananthapuram, July 19 -- Kudumbashree's Snehitha Police Extension Centres, set up in partnership with the Kerala Police, have provided psychological counselling and follow-up support to 7,991 people since the programme was launched in March 2025.

Operating through 84 centres in police stations under the jurisdiction of DySP and ACP offices, the initiative offers professional support to people facing domestic violence, family conflicts, alcoholism, substance abuse, mobile phone addiction, and other issues involving women and children.

The beneficiaries include women, children and men referred by police stations for counselling and rehabilitation services.
