Hyderabad, Jan. 9 -- BRS working president K T Rama Rao on Friday met students of Maulana Azad National Urdu University at his residence in Nandi Nagar, Banjara Hills, and assured them of full support in their protest against the alleged illegal acquisition of 50 acres of university land by the state government.
The students informed KTR that they were strongly opposing what they termed as attempts by the Congress government to reclaim land that was legally allotted to the central university for future expansion.
Addressing the media after the meeting, KTR accused the Congress of trying to weaken MANUU, the only Urdu university in the country, and using it for real estate purposes.
