Bengaluru, Feb. 26 -- Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on Thursday flagged what he described as "misinformation" in school textbooks and urged a more proactive role from the Supreme Court in safeguarding institutional integrity and constitutional values.
Speaking on the controversy surrounding an NCERT textbook chapter on the judiciary, Kharge said that while the apex court had justified its intervention and protected its institutional standing, there were several other areas where judicial scrutiny would help strengthen the country's democratic fabric.
