Shillong, Aug. 10 -- The Khasi Students' union (KSU) on Monday asked the Meghalaya government to initiate the process for the demolition of the unauthorised religious structure within the office complex of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at Mawdiangdiang in New Shillong Township.
In a letter to the Director of the Meghalaya Urban Development Agency (MUDA), Prafulla Kumar Boro, the KSU Shillong Mihngi Circle warned that it would take the matter to the streets and launch a major, sustained protest movement against the inaction of the authorities if the government fails to demolish the religious structure within seven days from August 10.
