New Delhi, June 23 -- From facing financial struggles to representing India at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, Kranti Gaud's journey has been anything but easy. The young fast bowler recalled how her mother sold her jewellery to support her cricket dream and said that sacrifice motivated her to work harder and succeed.

The 22-year-old, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, has emerged as one of India's promising fast bowlers in recent months. After making her ODI debut during the tri-series in Sri Lanka featuring South Africa, she went on to earn her maiden T20I cap on the tour of England, where she impressed with a six-wicket haul.
