Bengaluru, Sept. 2 -- The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) recruitment controversy is moving beyond a political blame game, with the Enforcement Directorate's money-laundering probe, arrests and investigation into alleged middlemen putting mounting pressure on the DK Shivakumar government.
The escalation comes even as Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Wednesday attacked the Opposition, calling the NDA the "Pitamaha" of KPSC scams and promising that details of the alleged irregularities would be made public.
But the investigation has already acquired a wider criminal and financial dimension.
The ED has conducted searches at 21 locations in Karnataka and Ahmedabad in connection with the veterinary officer recruitment case.
