Kannur, Sept. 6 -- Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Sunny Joseph has demanded the dismissal of four police officers found guilty of assaulting Youth Congress local leader V S Sujith at Kunnamkulam police station over two years ago.
Sunny Joseph said the police officers had committed a crime and violated the law, and therefore a criminal case should be registered against them and investigated.
He pointed out that the investigation report submitted by the Additional Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, clearly mentioned the violence by the police. Despite this, senior officials, including the Kunnakulam Station House Officer, failed to take action against the culprits and instead attempted to suppress the complaint.
