Kolkata, Sept. 7 -- A 68-year-old man was arrested from south Kolkata's Rashbehari Avenue on Monday for allegedly forcing a person to sign multiple blank sheets of paper and subsequently using those signatures to forge documents, police said on Monday.
Personnel from Rabindra Sarobar Police Station arrested the accused, Ashok Das, from his residence in connection with the allegations.
The complainant, Shambhunath Poddar (63)-a resident of Jatin Das Road and the General Secretary of the Manohar Pukur Milan Samity -lodged a complaint that Das and Debashis Kumar intimidated and threatened him into signing several blank sheets of paper, including some bearing the club's letterhead.
