Kolkata, June 4 -- The Kolkata Police on Thursday arrested one of the two key accused involved in the alleged recovery of loads of cash and a handmade gun in the Surendranath College here.
The arrested individual, identified as Paritosh Dutta, was apprehended by the anti-rowdy squad of Kolkata Police in Bardhaman town.
The sources said another accused Debashish Banerjee was still at large. Dutta is alleged to be Banerjee's close associate. Cases have been filed against both under the Arms Act.
During the cleaning of the college premises, two boxes containing termite-eaten currency notes were recovered from the union room. It is alleged that the money had been kept locked inside an almirah. A handmade gun was also found stored within the ...
