Kolhapur, June 13 -- The brave soldier Vikram Balkrishna Chavan, the son of Gondoli village in Shahuwadi tehsil of this district, who was killed along with another army personnel, in a massive blast near the Line of Control in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, was cremated with state honours and tears on the banks of the Warna river in Gondoli today.
Martyr Vikram Chavan had his primary education at Vidyamandir Gondoli in Shahuwadi taluka, while he completed his further college education from Yashwant College, Kokarud.
